- Mommy has gone to the doctor.
David thought that as summer had suddenly said goodbye and cold was beginning to be present every day, probably his mom had fallen ill. The doctor would prescribe her some Dalsy and in a couple of days she would feel a lot better. He went to the bathroom. He washed himself, put his school uniform on and waited for the time to leave while eating his cereals.
Her mommy arrived looking sad. Dad gave her a hug and she rested her dark-curled head on his shoulder.
- ¿What did he said?
- Sineosculitis. I have run out of kisses. – said his mother with a straight face. – The doctor said they are gone for good. Nil.
David looked at his daddy and mommy. The kisses were gone? Which ones? His, daddy’s, the ones mom gave to granny...?
- How is that possible? – was saying his daddy while they walked out the door.
